How to Reply to Trip.com Reviews (Including Reviews in Chinese)

Where hotels reply to Trip.com guest reviews, how to handle reviews in Chinese, Korean and Japanese, and example replies you can adapt.

How to Reply to Trip.com Reviews

Trip.com brings many guests from mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea and Japan. Their reviews are often written in their own language, and a reply in that language is one of the clearest signals you can send to the next guest from the same market.

Where to reply

Hotels reply from Trip.com's partner site, eBooking:

  1. Log in to eBooking with your property account.
  2. Open the reviews section (guest reviews / comments).
  3. Choose the review, write your reply and submit it.

Menu names change from time to time and can vary by region. If you can't find the reviews section, ask your Trip.com market manager.

Reply in the guest's language

  • Chinese reviews: reply in Chinese. Use Simplified Chinese for guests from mainland China and Traditional Chinese for Hong Kong and Taiwan when you can tell.
  • Keep your hotel name exactly as it is. Don't translate a brand name.
  • Short and warm works best. Two to four sentences.

Example replies

Positive (Chinese)

感谢您的好评!很高兴您喜欢我们的早餐和泳池。期待您再次光临!

(Thank you for the great review! We're glad you enjoyed our breakfast and pool. We look forward to welcoming you again!)

Negative (English)

Thank you for your feedback, Kevin. I'm sorry check-in took so long on a busy evening; you should have been in your room much sooner. I've passed your comments to our front office manager. We'd love the chance to show you a smoother stay.

Korean

소중한 후기 감사합니다. 객실과 직원 서비스에 만족하셨다니 기쁩니다. 다시 찾아주시길 기다리겠습니다.

Tips specific to Trip.com

  • Check reviews weekly so none sit unanswered.
  • Don't machine-translate word for word. Read the result back, or use a tool that writes the reply in the language directly.

More templates: hotel review response templates by platform. The free reply generator writes the whole reply in Chinese, Korean, Japanese or Thai.
